Estée Lauder creates a new luxury beauty president role and hands it to a La Mer veteran
Justin Boxford's expanded role covers Estée Lauder, La Mer, Aerin, Darphin Paris and Lab Series.
Estée Lauder Companies has named Justin Boxford to a newly created role, Global President, Luxury Beauty Brands. His portfolio now spans La Mer, Estée Lauder, Aerin, Darphin Paris and Lab Series. Boxford led La Mer once before, from 2017 to 2022, and the company credits that stint with diversifying the brand's product range and building out its digital presence.
He succeeds Sandra Main, Global Brand President, La Mer and Skin Care Brands, who is retiring at the end of the year. Two more appointments came alongside his. Erica Kwok moves up to Senior VP and General Manager of Estée Lauder, working closely with Boxford, and Magalie Parksuwan keeps her role as Senior VP and General Manager, La Mer, while adding oversight of Darphin Paris and Lab Series.
The executives behind the moves
Kwok has more than 20 years in the beauty industry, 15 of them with the Estée Lauder brand itself. She joined the brand's global team from Asia Pacific in 2021 and has since worked across marketing, product development and growth strategy. The company points to her role in the reformulation of Double Wear foundation and the launch of the Glimmer fragrance.
Parksuwan will support Pierre-Olivier Garcin, who remains Senior VP and General Manager for Darphin Paris and Lab Series, as she takes on the wider brief. Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Executive VP and Chief Brand Officer at Estée Lauder Companies, said the appointments reflect the company's commitment to developing talent from within.
The reshuffle folds five brands under two senior executives instead of a wider spread of leadership, a structure change more than a personnel one. Estée Lauder Companies has not said what, if anything, changes in how the affected brands report financially or whether further appointments will follow Main's departure at year end.
