Nammos expands to Egypt with new North Coast destination
The Greek lifestyle and hospitality brand is partnering with Abu Dhabi's Modon Holding on its first fully integrated destination in Egypt.
Nammos Hotels & Resorts, the Greek lifestyle and hospitality brand best known for its beach club origins on Mykonos, is expanding into Egypt through a new development called Nammos Ras El Hekma. The project, announced jointly with Abu Dhabi-based developer Modon Holding, will sit within the Wadi Yemm precinct on Egypt's North Coast and represents the brand's first fully integrated destination in the country, according to CPP-Luxury.
The move fits a wider pattern of Mediterranean and Gulf lifestyle brands chasing growth in North Africa's emerging luxury coastal markets. Egypt's North Coast has drawn a wave of large-scale resort investment in recent years, as developers look to replicate the success of destinations such as the Red Sea resorts and position the area as a premium alternative to more established Mediterranean hotspots. Modon Holding's involvement signals continued Gulf capital interest in backing lifestyle brands' physical expansion beyond their home markets.
For Nammos, the deal extends a strategy of licensing its beach club and hospitality concept into fully built-out resort destinations, following similar moves elsewhere. It is a test of whether the brand's appeal, built on a specific Aegean aesthetic and clientele, can translate to a different regional context and a different set of travellers. What to watch is the pace of construction and opening timeline, and whether the partnership becomes a template for further expansion into other Gulf-backed developments across the region.
