Park Hyatt Mexico City Polanco will begin welcoming guests in spring 2027, rising 30 storeys above Campos Elíseos in one of the city's wealthiest districts. The hotel will hold 155 guestrooms and 38 suites, including a two bedroom presidential suite, for a total of 193 keys. Reservations are now open for stays from 1 April 2027 through the hotel's own booking site.

The property is the brand's answer to a market already served by Park Hyatt, the Hyatt Hotels Corporation label built around personalised service and what it calls residential sophistication.

Meeting and event space runs to more than 8,500 square feet, including a grand ballroom and an open-air terrace built for receptions, weddings and corporate gatherings. Guests will have a rooftop pool and Tezca Spa, a wellness venue drawing on restorative treatments rooted in pre-Hispanic wisdom and Mexican tradition.

Four dining venues, indoor and outdoor, span a specialty restaurant, an all-day dining room, a modern Mexican concept and cocktail bars built around agave-forward creations. Each menu celebrates the country's diverse regional flavours rather than a single house style.

What the tower includes beyond the hotel

Sordo Madaleno by SOMA designed the 30-storey tower as one project, with Park Hyatt Mexico City Polanco Residences built into the same structure from the 19th floor up. The 27 private residences span six distinct typologies and share the hotel's understated design language.

Interiors throughout the hotel come from Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos, the Mexican firm founded in 1937 and now run by its third generation. Each space is arranged as an art gallery of sorts, hung with a collection curated by Arte Abierto, the nonprofit SOMA founded to foster artistic dialogue across Mexico.

The roster named so far includes Damián Ortega and Michelle Aubert, among other Mexican artists whose work was chosen for its dialogue with the building's design narrative rather than simply as decoration. SOMA is the sole developer responsible for marketing and selling the residences under a revocable licence from Hyatt International Corporation.

Why the location matters

The hotel overlooks Chapultepec Park, one of the largest urban green spaces in the world and among the oldest parks in the Americas, with running and cycling paths, a lake and museums just steps from the entrance. Nearly every corner of the property has uninterrupted views over the park's forested canopy.

It is also within walking distance of the National Museum of Anthropology, Museo Tamayo and Museo Soumaya, plus Avenida Presidente Masaryk, Mexico's premier luxury retail corridor, and the Michelin-recognised restaurants of Polanco itself. The National Auditorium, one of Latin America's premier venues for music and cultural events, is easily reached.

The Polanco opening extends a run of scheduled builds for the brand, which is also due to bring Park Hyatt to Portugal for the first time with a 2029 opening in Comporta. Both properties are still years from opening, and neither hotel's construction timeline has been described as fixed.
