Estée Lauder creates a new luxury beauty president role and hands it to a La Mer veteran - Worthbury

Estée Lauder Companies has appointed Justin Boxford to a newly created role, Global President, Luxury Beauty Brands. His expanded portfolio now covers La Mer, Estée Lauder, Aerin, Darphin Paris and Lab Series. Boxford previously led La Mer between 2017 and 2022, and the company credits him with diversifying the brand's product range and building out its digital and omnichannel presence.

Boxford succeeds Sandra Main, Global Brand President, La Mer and Skin Care Brands, who retires at the end of the year. Erica Kwok has been promoted to Senior Vice President and General Manager of Estée Lauder, the brand, and will work closely with Boxford. Kwok has more than 20 years in the beauty industry, including 15 years with the Estée Lauder brand, and joined the Global Brand team from Asia Pacific in 2021.

Who else moves and why it matters

Kwok has led work on the reformulation of Double Wear, the brand's hero foundation, and on its recent Glimmer fragrance launch. Magalie Parksuwan continues as Senior Vice President and General Manager, La Mer, and takes on additional oversight of Darphin Paris and Lab Series, supporting Pierre-Olivier Garcin, who holds the title Senior Vice President and General Manager for those two brands.

Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Executive Vice President and Chief Brand Officer, said the appointments reflect the strength of the company's leadership bench and its focus on developing talent internally. She said Boxford, Kwok and Parksuwan would build on the brands' foundations and drive growth and innovation.

The reshuffle consolidates skin care and luxury beauty reporting lines under fewer senior executives. Boxford will be responsible for guiding La Mer into its next chapter.
